Be a Golden God Parent

In increasing numbers, Golden Treasures is rescuing goldens with extraordinary medical issues. We never turn these dogs down, regardless of what our checking account says. In order to continue saving all dogs coming our way, we're instituting a new program which gives people an opportunity to help in two ways: First, by donating to our Godparent program, you'll be helping Golden Treasures pay for some whopping vet bills. Second, with those bills being paid, we're able to concentrate on helping more dogs.

As a Golden Godparent, you will be recognized as a donor on our website and will be able to keep abreast of the recovery of your goddog (is that a word?) A personal thank you will be sent by the dog you sponsor.

If you can find it in your heart to open up your pocketbook just one more time, read about our most recent candidate. You can send your donation (be sure to indicate which dog is to receive the donation) to Golden Treasures, P.O. Box 434, Bath, Ohio 44210, or click on the Make A Donation button below to use Paypal , if that's more convenient.

And once again, Golden Treasures thanks you for all you've done to help these wonderful dogs.

Hunter

Casey

Casey - He is a 6-month-old pup who was given up because his former owners couldn't deal with the medical problems he was exhibiting. We took him in and, after about $1,000 in diagnostic tests, have eliminated most of the possibilities. We're currently awaiting the results of a couple more tests, so his vet bill will, most likely, climb a bit more. Fortunately so far, the most serious of the medical possibilities have been eliminated and he should be fine soon.

Kay Shore

Shawnee

Shawnee - He came to us from a shelter. While there, he had a couple seizures. And we observed one more when he was initially in our care. He had to spend a couple days at the vet, being evaluated. He's now on medication which is helping, and we've seen no more seizures.

Hunter

Hunter - We have had to remove a mast cell tumor from him. His surgery, although expensive, was a success and we expect a complete recovery for him.

Max

Max4 - A very young dog, he was going blind because of cataracts. In order to give him the best possible life, we opted to remove them, one at a time. His vet bills totaled over $2,600. But he's seeing life in a much better way.
