Buddy

We adopted Buddy in the Spring of 2005 when he was approximately one and one-half years old.  Our other golden, Cody, who was five years old at the time, had been in our family since he was a puppy and we wanted a companion for him.  I searched on the internet for golden rescues in  Ohio and was impressed the most with Golden Treasures' website.  I immediately filled out an application and Sandy contacted me shortly thereafter. 

 About a week later, our family, including Cody, drove from Dublin to meet Buddy.  We immediately clicked and Buddy came home with us that same day.  We were amazed at the easy transition, as we all bonded with Buddy immediately and he seemed very happy from the start.  Buddy was housebroken and well-trained.  In fact, he obeys us better than Cody, who has backslidden some from his prior training!  Buddy and Cody hit it off right away and are inseparable.  In fact, Buddy's playfulness has made Cody seem much younger. 

 We are a family that include our dogs in a lot of fun activities.  We belong to Bark Park (a private dog park in Delaware), and both dogs love to go there on Saturdays. Buddy finally started swimming with Cody this Summer.  Buddy is a very affectionate boy and we are so happy that he is a part of our family. 

 Thank you Sandy (and others) at Golden Treasures.  Placing these goldens in good homes is such a wonderful thing to do.  For anyone interested in adopting a rescued golden, I highly recommend Golden Treasures.  I have enclosed a picture of Buddy and Cody taking a nap.  One of my daughters took this on her cell phone.  We are hooked on Goldens and having two is great!!!
