Lucky (formerly Henry)
When our family lost our beloved Golden, Sunny, after almost
13 years, we simply could not image our life without a
Golden in it. We still remember how our new Golden Treasure
captured our hearts when he pranced outside to meet us,
literally as if putting his best foot forward. He has an
extremely pretty gait when he walks or runs after the
squirrels in our backyard. Since he was not really
answering that much to Henry, the name he was given at the
rescue, we are calling him Lucky because we feel very
fortunate to have met him. You can see from the pictures
that Lucky quickly made himself right at home on the
very first day that he arrived!
He loves to climb up in our lap when one of us is sitting in the recliner and always wants to be close to us. He is sleeping at my feet even now as I write this, although perhaps he just wants to keep an eye on what I'm saying about him! He enjoys looking out all the windows (think nose prints!) when we travel in the van and his tennis ball is still his favorite toy. Lucky also recently enjoyed attending his first college football game where my daughter is a cheerleader.
He thinks the obedience classes that we take him to are unnecessary, but he indulges us by going to them because he realizes that he does hog the middle of the bed badly every night and he wants to stay in our good graces. Thank you for all your efforts on behalf of all Golden Treasures.
