Give a Golden a Forever Home

Logan: Male, 7 years old

He's a 7 year-old fella who is really missing his doodle girlfriend. They used to play all day. Logan has lots of energy and loves to go for walks. Rides in the car are extra-special to him. He'll get along with other dogs after given a chance to warm up to them. We hope he finds a new home quickly, given the fact that he's sooooo lonely!

Walter: Male, 12 months old

This 12-month-old guy is scheduled for a hip replacement. His previous owners were not able to afford it, but did right by him in surrendering him to rescue, where he'll get the medical attention he needs. A typical golden pup, he's good with everyone--dogs, cats, and especially people. Hip replacements (he may need two, but he's taking it one at a time) don't come cheap these days, especially when a second one looms in the future. But, since he's so young, we know he'll bounce right back quickly.

Austin: Male, 3 years old

We were able to pull this sweet guy from a shelter, thanks to an alert volunteer who knew he needed help. Like most of our goldens, he loves attention! He's about 3 years old and likes other dogs. We aren't sure about cats and should know shortly if he enjoys kids and what ages.

Fiona and Rudy, Female and Male, Seniors

We got to these two dogs just in the St. Nick of time. Their owners were in the parking lot, ready to drop them off at the shelter to be euthanized because of their inability to care for them. One of our network volunteers interceded and called us.

Who could resist this senior pair? Fiona is an Italian Greyhound, small and, right now, frightened. But she LOVES to cuddle up in the cute new sweater we bought, into a big mountain of warm blankets. Rudy, the golden male, is just happy to be. He enjoys carrying around toys and has the typical golden personality. Rudy is extremely overweight, so he's on a diet. We know that when that extra weight comes off, he'll be bouncing around like a youngster. Because of the devotion each dog shows to the other, we'd like to keep them together.

If you are interested in adopting Fiona and Rudy, please fill out our online adoption application.
